Proper COM:FOP Israel; The file in question (and many more similars), have been appearing in a permanent exhibition for months, in Kikar HaHatufim ("Kidnapped Square" aka Category:Hostages Square).
So, there is no justification for deletion. This posters together with the posters of other abductees has been hanging since October 2023 after the abduction, on nany fences in Israel.. The posters were not taken down because the war continues, and there are about 140 more abductees that Hamas refuses to release. See Commons:Deletion requests/File:Kfir Bibas 9 months old Was brutally kidnapped to Gaza together with his brother Ariel Bibas 4 years old . not yet released.jpg The picture there was not deleted Hanay (talk) 13:03, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

In General
VRTS Ticket:2023122710003649 contains permission regarding to the text and the design of the posters of w:en:Kidnapped from Israel. So first, its a general  Keep for me per this example.
Embedded Pictures
Regarding the pictures embedded in the posters (or, "Is it necessary to censor and blur the images inside the posters?"): In my humble opinion there is a proper COM:FOP Israel here (as @Hanay quoted, from my explanation there). A source from which the existence of the FoP of the permanent exhibits in the square can be deduced - here.

  •  Comment You may be correct, but I'd like to see more specific information/similar cases. All of the characters in that chart are cartoons, not live action, and Batman is not listed. What is the violation? That actors are dressed as the characters (but cosplay is apparently allowed?) The outfits? Calling themselves with the terms "Batman", "Robin", and "Batgirl"? Wondering, -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 18:28, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Infrogmation: If I recall right, I think there was some court case surrounding some fanfiction stories (purely textual stories that is) using the Sherlock Holmes character, because of the use of Holmes's "likeness" from copyrighted stories. (These should be fine now because of the "no matter what" principle, because I think all the original Holmes stories are public domain now regardless of their situation then.) So, I feel like the use of Batman, Robin, etc. in this ad count as "using their likeness" in that context. SnowyCinema (talk) 04:43, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

No copyright notice, I have not found date of creation. *Stylistically* it looks like mid-20th century artwork, but it may be more recent artwork evocative of a "retro" style. Files found with Special:Search/Propaganda Reichstagswahl[edit]

This 1932 German photo prominently features two political posters (the two on the left) by German artist Felix Albrecht, who died in 1980. So the posters are still copyrighted in Germany. They are not de minimis or rather unwesentliches Beiwerk (the German term) in this photo because they would need to attain not even marginal or minor significance (per a 2014 decision of Germany's highest court, see COM:DM Germany), which is definitely not the case here. So the files should be deleted. They can be restored in 2051.

The likely copyright holder of the footage is Univision and not Dandrades. Notice that I included all the image from teh Fast X premiere, that although the microphone is not visible on some of them, the source is the same video [4].

  •  Keep But Dandrades is a journalist of this Channel, what's the problema with these files? I don't think there's another video on YouTube with the same content, I oppose deletion!!! RevengerTime (talk) 20:58, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
what's the problema with these files? If you didn't read the explanation, I will write it once more: he is doing the interviews with a a microphone with the logo of Univision, his employer. I don't think there's another video on YouTube with the same content. Your assumption doesn't hold. You can find the footage of Fast X premiere on this video that doesn't have a CC-BY license and is part of the official channel of Primer Impacto, the TV show where Dandrades works. Günther Frager (talk) 22:06, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • These are really contract law and not copyright law questions. Without reviewing his contract, it is possible that the channel and not the individual is the copyright holder, but we need stronger evidence, like a takedown notice at YouTube from Univision. We have several red carpet photographers that donate their footage/photos that are not aired. Some sell those images to Getty and others release under a free license. --RAN (talk) 23:57, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Everything is possible, the question is what is likely. This is not a freelancer filming for a news agency or Getty. Watch this video. There are at least 3 people involved: I identified a reporter and two camera operators. The reporter wears the logo of the biggest Spanish-speaking broadcaster in the US, and the 7th in audience [5] and the footage was used in en:Primer Impacto, on of their flagship shows where he works since decades. They are not shooting in the US, but in Italy. The YouTube channel that claims the copyright is not from one of the cameramen (the one holding the copyright by default), but from the reporter. The possible copyright holders are 1) the one holding the camera 2) the reporter 3) the producer of Primer Impacto 4) the TV channel. If the copyright holder is not the cameraman, then there was a copyright transfer, and the most likely copyright holder is the company that hired the reporter, the staff and flew them to Europe. Notice that I only nominated videos that are clearly related to Univision. As with images that we doubt the authorship and require a COM:VRT ticket, the uploader or any interested party can contact Tony Dandrades for a clarification. •  Keep Public benches have copyright per FOP? I highly doubt. But even if they are indeed copyrighted then this photo still does not violate FOP rules because the benches, including bench with a guitar, constitute only quite small part of the photo. Pay attention that even per FOP requirements it is not forbidden to include copyrighted building/monument in a panoramic picture if such copyrighted objects are quite small in comparison with the entire photo. Plants (trees, bushes) and their leaves clearly constitute the largest amount of pixels in this photo and they certainly are not copyrighted. Even the pedestrian road is larger than all these benches combined. -- Pofka (talk) 20:48, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm not sure I agree. De minimis is defined in terms of what is the intended focal point of an image, not simply the number of pixels occupied by an object. In this case, the title alone makes it clear that the benches are the focus, not the trees which happen to surround them. Omphalographer (talk) 23:47, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  •  Delete. Odd case, but I would consider that a statue of a bench and not a utilitarian bench (Danielius Sodeika is the sculptor). The fact that it is cast out of bronze (unlike the other benches in frame) and the attached bronze guitar are big clues. Can you sit on it? Sure. But there are a lot of other statues you can sit on and they are doubtless protected by copyright in non-FoP jurisdictions too. Is it de minimis? It seems to be clearly the focus of the picture, so I would say no. IronGargoyle (talk) 00:27, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The source YouTube video has a CC-BY license, but the channel is from a producer and the video is an ad of the Barranquilla government. This is likely a work for hire and in such cases the copyright holder is usually the one that pays not the one that produce it. Thus, we cannot assume the license is correct. Günther Frager (talk) 21:09, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The video has a CC-BY license, but it is unlikely the user has the copyright of the video. The images are from the official video clip of the song "Oda a Leda" by Toby Holguín. The Vimeo user is Cristián Laguna and according to the description of the video he was the assistant of the director. As it is usual with work for hire the copyright holder is the party that payed for the video and not the one hired for the job, in particular the video contains the music, so it is even less plausible that Laguna has the rights to re-license it. His channel also contains commercials of Colgate, Toyota, Stella Artois with bogus CC-BY licenses. Notice that the same video is also available on the channel Basswalk Latino [6] without a CC-BY license. Basswalk Latina is a record label founded by Toby Holguin [7]

  • These are really contract law and not copyright law questions. --RAN (talk) 00:00, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Sorry, it is not contract law, it is common sense. The camera crew usually don't hold the copyright of the video clip they were hired to film, much less the music. Of course, there is the chance that Toby Holguin gave him the rights of his music, or even that Laguna hired Holguin to write a song for the video. If the previous seems plausible, then apply the same reasoning to all the ads that he uploaded with a CC-BY license. Günther Frager (talk) 01:30, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hallo,
lg Florian Kojanis (talk) 08:39, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Kojanis: Siehe Hinweis in Commons:Deletion requests/File:Bergeinsamkeit.jpg.

--Rosenzweig τ 13:13, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

212.154.56.32 22:30, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Asħab (talk) 08:14, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Asħab (talk) 14:21, 25 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

File:JP Sears image.png[edit]

The source is actually this video and it doesn't have a CC-BY license. Notice at the beginning of the video on the source link, there is a woman that says it was taken from JP Sears channel as he encouraged people to upload it on their social media. That is also what JP Sears says at the end of the original video. However, saying "you have my explicit permission to upload this video to any of your social channels" is not enough to satisfy COM:LL. It grants redistribution, but it doesn't say anything about commercial use (maybe it is implicit), nor about derivative works. Günther Frager (talk) 00:02, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
