User talk:Archenzo
Hello Archenzo! Why did you move Image:DaphneStriata.jpg back to Daphne striata? This plant has been misidentified by the uploader. The correct determination is Daphne cneorum. The hypanthium is sericeous pubescent outside. Ciao --Franz Xaver 21:20, 22 May 2005 (UTC)
- So, it has a wrong title. However, I only want that it can be found under the correct plant name. I already wrote a message to the uploader. Probably he will upload it under the correct title. --Franz Xaver 21:34, 22 May 2005 (UTC)
Muscari etc.[edit]
Hello Archenzo! You created some articles like Muscari neglectum (alias). I do not see the point, why this should be advantageous or even necessary. In such cases it is much better to have redirect pages like Coronilla varia.
Moreover, Muscari and Leopoldia in all modern classifications of plants are part of Hyacinthaceae - see "list" in [1]. Ciao --Franz Xaver 07:07, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
Palma di Montechiaro[edit]
Hello Archenzo, do not wonder if your Category:Palma di Montechiaro has vanished. I have created a corresponding article Palma di Montechiaro under Category:Cities in Sicily and deleted the category to adapt Palma di Montechiaro to the other cities in Sicily.
By the way: creating a new category for your pictures will not be sufficient for them to be found, you should also put such a new category in a more general category that already exists (in this case e.g. Category:Cities in Sicily. A category not belonging to another category can be found as bad as an image not belonging to any category. So your images were in no way accessible from Category:Sicilia.
I am lookiing forward to more pictures of yours from Sicily. Greetings --Bjs 19:46, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

Tricholoma[edit]
My english is so bad than yours, I'm spanish ;-)
The photo Image:Tricholoma portentosum.jpg is a Tricholoma portentosum, I'm sure. I known lepista nuda too. Theirs shapes are different: lepista nuda is circle, Tricholoma portentosum no, and the flavour is also different. I prefer Tricholoma portentosum uhmmmmm! ;-)

- I took the photo, I took the mushroom, I eated it! At the forest where i took the tricholoma there are no Lepista nuda! I'm 100% sure. Sanbec ✉ 21:57, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Agrocybe_aegerita_1.jpg[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Agrocybe_aegerita_1.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. - I had reuploaded a new image. This is mine.--Archenzo 19:40, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- "copyvio - content was: "Renzo Piano is a living artist."" means first of all that another user set {{copyvio}} and wrote the folloing text. It means secondly that the work of which you took a photo doesn't belong to you. I would compare it to fair use. However, there is no fair use on Commons allowed.
- You can ask G.dallorto what was really meant by that.

Ciao. --User:G.dallorto 13:19, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
PS Se dobbiamo discutere di WikiCommons, per me sarebbe piu' comodo comunicare sulle talk pages di Commons, non su quelle di it:Wikipedia, dato che ultimamente lavoro quasi solo su Commons. Grazie.

Tip: Categorizing images[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 05:37, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Use of Sorbus Domestica[edit]
Dear Archenzo, our company is publishing a paper for landscaping. For this matter we want to print your picture of Sorbus Domestica. Of course we will declare your name. Please tell us on our discussion-board until April, 25th. how we should name you. Otherwise we will assume that you are ok with it, if we use your nickname as source.
Sincerely, TEAM4
