Are you planning to use this category? If so, please give it parent categories. If not, please mark it {{SD|C2}} so it will be deleted. - Jmabel ! talk 00:07, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I didn't use it because I made a typo in the name. I forgot to flag it for deletion. Bigguy637 (talk) 01:44, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Warning[edit]

Hi Bigguy637. I noticed that you've made a malformed deletion request: omitting reason, subpage, transclusion, year, month, and day. Here, {{Delete}} is not for speedy deletion, please see COM:DP. When you want to delete a page by manually using the {{Delete}} template (rather than the automatic Nominate for deletion or Nominate category for discussion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar per COM:DR#Starting requests and COM:CFD#Starting requests), you must follow the instructions in the template, including the "Click here to show further instructions" portion (or Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually policy or the "By hand" portion of COM:CFD#Starting requests, normally collapsed), otherwise you will create a lot of work for other people. Warning: such edits are not tolerated and have led to account blocks, as "We cannot work here with people who are not willing to follow our procedures, in particular for deletion requests."   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 10:43, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Hello, and welcome to the Wikimedia Commons. I've noticed in most of your uploads of safety symbols you've indicated the author as yourself and source as "Own work".
This is actually not consistent with policy, as explained in Commons:Own work and Commons:Source.

An 'Own work' is something created entirely yourself, like a photograph the uploader took of a street. (For example:File:Clague Park-N-Ride bus shelter.jpg.)

Something that was originally created by someone else or an origination, such as a traffic sign (Ex:File:W11-27-TEA - Taxiway.svg} or safety label (Ex:File:USA SUV Rollover Risk Visor Label.svg): It should have the person/organization listed as the author; and where you obtained it from, or were referencing when you created the version you uploaded, as the source

It's useful to us for being sure that a file is allowed on Wikimedia Commons.
It's also useful for further learning and research, as other folks can determine where they should go for more information related to the file.

If you have questions, there are plenty of folks happy to answer questions: Commons:Help desk or the Commons:Village pump.-- The Navigators (talk) 06:11, 29 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Okay, thanks, I will replace the copyright status of these symbols Bigguy637 (talk) 21:16, 30 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
How can i do a mass edit to add proper License Tags to the categories Bigguy637 (talk) 21:46, 30 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm not aware of a way to do a mass replacement of licenses to files. I'd try asking over at Commons:Help desk if there's a way of doing that.-- The Navigators (talk) 04:14, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Okay thanks! Bigguy637 (talk) 23:43, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Notification about possible deletion[edit]

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
