Using your photo[edit]

I used your photo of poseidon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Poseidon_sculpture_Copenhagen_2005.jpg in a photomanipulation on deviant art http://www.deviantart.com/submit/deviation?deviationId=58317620 you are credited, i cannot link the image because there are some problem...

if there is any problem contact me http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utente:Redsun

thank you for paying attention ^^

bye Redsun

OK to use my photo - sorry, that your site is forbidden, I would like to see the 'deviation'. --Hansjorn 22:19, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply[reply]

trying this http://lutro.deviantart.com/art/Poseidon-58317620 (sorry for late ^^ )

Now it worked - and I must say: It is very, very good - I am glad, I could help ...--Hansjorn 08:41, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please delete any picture/photo that I have ever uploaded to Commons - I am not an administrator, so I cannot delete anything.

I really do not want to be of any trouble in this troubled and smallish world of copyrights ;-) --Hansjorn 09:00, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm not an administrator and I cannot delete anything :) Please don't be frustrated because of these deletion requests. We are all continually learning more and more about copyright law. The problems with freedom of panorama in Denmark were just raised in September 2007. Anyway, I am glad that this picture can stay even if the other two have to be removed from the Commons. --AFBorchert 13:44, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello, you are the author of one of the images in the category Grande Arche. This category has been recently proposed for deletion under the pretext that there is no FOP in France. I believe not all the images in this category deserve to be deleted, some of them do not present copyright issues. You can express your opinion on this page Commons:Deletion_requests/Category:Grande_Arche if you believe the category should stay. I noticed this deletion request after one of my images (also featured picture) belonging to this category has been proposed for deletion here. Best Regards. --Atoma 16:37, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Using our photo[edit]

Hello,

I've seen our photo and I want to know if it's possible to use it for a creation. Can you contact me to speak about modalities please?

Thanks. Audrey

Hi Audrey,
Could you specifiy WHICH photo you are thinking of?
Generally I don't mind other people using my work, as long as they respect the idea behind GFDL. --83.93.93.67 18:06, 28 February 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please feel free to delete this image, as I have no copyright on this public symbol, which also is out-of-date by now. --Hansjorn 07:16, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hansjorn, does this mean that you took the photograph, and that anyone may use the image?
No - I did not. I copied the image from the community page and modified it, so I have no copyright at all --Hansjorn 14:31, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please feel free to delete my holiday photos of CHM - since I believe, that the rights of Native Americans should be respected. I know that CHM is not a govermental institution - but my intent was to promote this project, not to hurt it. --Hansjorn 03:21, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello, I found your excellent photo of Skovgaard's frescos in Viborg Domkirke. I never forgot these paintings since the day, years ago, I saw them first. So I'm also interested in the artist. Would you be willing to translate the main da.wikipedia informations about Skovgaard into English (or even German)? And have you got more pictures of the Viborg work? Thanks and greetings, --Rabanus Flavus (talk) 13:20, 10 December 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thank you for your note, and no, I do not work for wikipedia any more - it is too troublesome with all the bureaucrats around and rules and regulations and what have you. So I made my own wiki, where I publish under personal responsibility, what I like - under the GPFL-license, which I respect so much. So I will add your idea to this wiki - and eventually it could become to some more photos from this church. --Hansjorn (talk) 18:36, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
OK - I found the other photos and put them on: http://wikimedia.dk/index.php/Viborg_Domkirke - please go ahead and use them under the GFPLicense. --Hansjorn (talk) 19:04, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thank you, very good! It's a special style of painting, classical motives, of course, but not historicist. I'll upload them to WikiCommons as soon as possible. --Rabanus Flavus (talk) 21:12, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
By the way, the Wikipedia trouble, I've known it, too...

Hello, Hansjorn!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Please help replace this outdated license[edit]

Hello!

Thank you for donating images to the Wikimedia Commons. You have uploaded some images in the past with the license {{PD}}. While this was a license acceptable in the early days of Wikimedia, since January 2006, this license has been deprecated and since October 2008 no new uploads with this license was allowed.

The license on older images should be replaced with a better and more specific license/permissions and you can help by checking the images and adding {{PD-self}} if you are the author or one of the other templates that you can see in the template on the image page.

Thank you for your help. If you need help feel free to ask at Commons talk:Licensing or contact User:Zscout370.

The images we would like you to check are:

Hallo Hansjorn,

Is it possible to use your photo of the sculpture of mindelunden Ryvangen Copenhangen in a fotballhistorybook for KÍ Klaksvik on the Faroe Islands? The players visited this sculpture in 1957 which we are writing about in the book and would very much like to use your photo.

Please answer soon as possible!

Best wishes

Grundtvig's Church for Phaidon book[edit]

Dear Hans,

We really like your photo of the Grundtvig's Church and would like to use this in an architecture book that Phaidon is publishing called "Brick". I was wondering if you have a larger image? The image on Wikimedia Commons isn't large enough for us to use unfortunately.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Kind Regards,

Ashley brickbook@phaidon.com
