Your DRs on interiors of Swiss Churches[edit]

Hi!

I've seen that you created many deletion requests on the interior of Swiss churches. Please slow this process down until at least some of those DRs have been decided, so we're not needlessly binding resources. The sentence "Following the majority view in the legal literature, freedom of panorama does not apply to interior spaces" on Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Switzerland is not legaly binding and, given the fact that even there opposing views are quoted, this is not certain. It would be best if you could quote a recent federal court decision on the matter to clarify the meaning of the law. PaterMcFly (talk) 11:26, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I have nominated several interiors and artworks of authors alive for deletion and until now the very vast majority was successful. So I believed my rational seems to work. Only recently some concerns come. Surprisingly for rather new buildings. On churches you also forget It is generally held that the interior of a church cannot be depicted under Article 27.
But I can follow your concern that we'd be binding to many forces and I won't nominate new ones until some are decided. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 11:49, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thank you. That's what I meant: I am unaware of a court decision on this subject, so there's no clear indication on how "public place" is to be interpreted. And there are countries where FOP applies to indoor as well (eg. UK, Austria), so even in Europe there's no common understanding of this term. PaterMcFly (talk) 11:00, 28 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, but I have found a book that says otherwise. Any works in interior spaces are not within FoP also if they are accessible to the public.[1]p.158. I believe it is a good book, its of a law publisher and the book focuses on Swiss Cultural law. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 13:47, 24 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Files of TBMM speeches[edit]

Hi Zafer, I believe all files you removed from the Turkish WP are already nominated for deletion, but no-one deletes them. Some were also uploaded by me, but I came to the conclusion that files of TBMM speeches are not free enough for commons. They'd be free to reuse for means of information, but not for artistic or satiric means. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 20:35, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi Paradise Chronicle, i am working many years about copyrights law in Turkey, unfortunately TBMM videos or photos are not freely use. Regards, Zafer (talk) 20:39, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

FOP category[edit]

Thanks for your work on categorizing FOP related DRs. However, please remember to add <noinclude></noinclude> so that the daily DR page would not appear in the corresponding FOP category. Have a nice day. A1Cafel (talk) 15:52, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey @A1Cafel, yeah I have been trying to help. But why do we need to add the <noinclude></noinclude>? And if we have to add it, is there a category where the <noinclude></noinclude> already included? 18:01, 28 December 2023 (UTC)18:01, 28 December 2023 (UTC)~ Paradise Chronicle (talk) 18:01, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I have mentioned before, adding <noinclude></noinclude> is to avoid double counting of the number of DRs in the maintenance category. Apart from {{Nsdr}}, all the other categories need <noinclude></noinclude>, thanks. --A1Cafel (talk) 03:35, 30 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I am not sure I was told so before, but ok, got it. All categories need non include except {{Nsdr}}. I am used to work with visual mode and the hot cat gadget, and then only the normal categories appear. How about creating a {{Hiddencat}} or similar for FOP cases where the is already a part of it? Paradise Chronicle (talk) 04:42, 30 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I have begun a discussion about if there is a way how to add the category in one go with hot cat at the Village Pump. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 05:32, 31 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
