Saturn Orbit[edit]
Hi SkyFlubbler!
Note that Saturn's orbit in your image at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Star_Sizes_Comparison_update_2021.png is far too exaggerated. The orbit's true eccentricity is 0.0542 (resulting in a barely noticeable b:a ratio of 0.9985:1), but measuring from your image the ratio is around 0.89:1, which represents an eccentricity of around 0.47.
It would be great if you could update your image! :-)

File:ESO 383-76.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
